Have you tried carne asada tacos with a queso shell? If not, here's what you need to know to try it!
Buy some skirt steak or flank steak at your local meat market. Make a marinade for the meat using:
- Lime juice
- Chili powder
- Garlic powder
- Onion powder
- Cumin
- Salt
- Black Pepper
and marinate a minimum of 2 hours/ no longer than 4 hours before cooking.
- Preheat the LoCo griddle to 400 degrees.
- Oil the griddle surface.
- Cook meat and flip until it's well don
- Remove meat.
- Cut meat into strips.
- Place shredded cheese on griddle.
- When it's brown on one side, carefully remove.
- Place in taco holder.
- Fill with chopped meat and toppings (we like onion, cilantro and
salsa)
Tacos are our favorite and we love making them wherever we roam on our LoCo portable tabletop griddle. Watch the video version of this recipe to see it being created on a sunny day in Mexico!
