Ingredients:

  • 1 bag (32 oz.) snipped & cut green beans
  • 6 slices of bacon, diced
  • 1 sweet onion, diced
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Steps:

  1. Preheat the griddle to 400 degrees.
  2. Once preheated, add the bacon and cook until the fat begins to render. Next, sauté the onions with the bacon for 5-6 minutes or until tender. Once the onions are translucent and the bacon bits are crip, remove them from the griddle and set aside in a prep bowl.
  3. Add the green beans to the griddle and cook for about 10 minutes, moving them around as needed to prevent burning (note: Covering the green beans with a dome on the griddle is the ideal way to cook the green beans. This helps to prevent burning and reduce cook time.)
  4. Once the green beans are tender, add the bacon bits and onions in with the green beans and cook for 5 more minutes. This allows the flavors to marinate.
  5. Finally, remove the sauteed green beans, bacon, and onions from the griddle and serve. Enjoy!
