Ingredients:
- 1 bag (32 oz.) snipped & cut green beans
- 6 slices of bacon, diced
- 1 sweet onion, diced
- Salt & pepper to taste
Steps:
- Preheat the griddle to 400 degrees.
- Once preheated, add the bacon and cook until the fat begins to render. Next, sauté the onions with the bacon for 5-6 minutes or until tender. Once the onions are translucent and the bacon bits are crip, remove them from the griddle and set aside in a prep bowl.
- Add the green beans to the griddle and cook for about 10 minutes, moving them around as needed to prevent burning (note: Covering the green beans with a dome on the griddle is the ideal way to cook the green beans. This helps to prevent burning and reduce cook time.)
- Once the green beans are tender, add the bacon bits and onions in with the green beans and cook for 5 more minutes. This allows the flavors to marinate.
- Finally, remove the sauteed green beans, bacon, and onions from the griddle and serve. Enjoy!
