There’s just something about a seafood boil that brings people together. Maybe it’s the mess, maybe it’s the hands-on eating, or maybe it’s the way all those bold, buttery, citrusy flavors soak into every bite. Whatever it is, this recipe is a guaranteed crowd-pleaser. It’s the kind of meal you make when you're feeding a crew—no fancy plating, no forks required, just good food and good company. This one’s been tried, tested, and trust me… it slaps.
Ingredients:
- 6 lbs of potatoes
- 9 ears of corn
- 4 lbs shrimp (shell-on = more flavor)
- 2 lbs sausage (your favorite kind)
- 5 garlic cloves, smashed
- 6 lemons, halved
- 2 large yellow onions, quartered
- 4 lbs crab legs
- 1/2 bag of seafood seasoning
Instructions:
- Bring a large pot with water to a rolling boil.
- Add lemons, garlic, and onions. Boil for 10 minutes.
- Stir in 1/2 bag of seasoning. Boil for another 5 minutes.
- Add potatoes and sausage. Bring it back to a boil and cook for 12-15 minutes.
- Toss in frozen crab legs and shrimp. Cook for 5 minutes.
- Add corn and cook 3-4 more minutes.
- Turn off the heat and let everything soak for 10 minutes.
Drain, pour out on a big table (or tray), and dig in.
Once everything’s drained and dumped out onto a big table (bonus points for newspaper or butcher paper), all that’s left to do is grab a seat and get messy. Don’t forget the napkins, maybe a cold drink or two, and enjoy the chaos. It’s not just dinner—it’s an experience. Make it once and you’ll be getting requests all summer long.
