“IQ” Temperature Regulation Technology
LoCo SmartTemp™ Griddles provide precise and controllable griddle surface temperatures by locating a series of thermocouples (temperature sensors) directly beneath the griddle surface. These sensors continually measure the griddle surface temperature and automatically regulate gas flow as needed to maintain the desired temperature. You get no unwanted “temperature creep” like you get with other griddles. IQ will even adjust for wind which can cool a griddle surface. The result of this revolutionary “IQ” Temperature Regulation Technology is consistent and precise griddle surface temperature control and repeatable temperature settings.
“Oval Track” Tube Burner
Unlike other griddles which use old school, guess-your-best “Low-Med-High” knobs that merely adjust the flow of fuel to the burner, essentially a “dumb temp” system that is prone to wide temperature fluctuations, a LoCo SmartTemp™ Griddle provides precise and controllable griddle surface temperatures by locating a series of thermocouples (temperature sensors) directly beneath the griddle surface.
“No Hot Spots/No Cold Spots”
One of the biggest frustrations with many other griddles is the inconsistent temperatures across the cooking surface, localized areas (hot spots and cold spots) with dramatically different temperatures that can cause some food to burn while other food is undercooked. Thanks to LoCo’s IQ Temperature Regulation Technology, and Oval Track/Fire Ring Tube Burners, temperature variation is dramatically reduced meaning no hot or cold spots to figure out and no burned or undercooked food as a result.
Independent Mulit-Zone Design
LoCo Griddles, other than tabletop (single-zone) models, feature either two or three different cooking zones that offer independent, digital temperature control, meaning you can cook different foods in different zones at different precise temperatures. All LoCo Griddles feature precise thermostatic temperature control with digital displays that allow you to adjust the griddle temperature in 25-degree increments.

Affter a year, this griddle still rocks

I use this griddle at least 3-4 times a week. It is my favorite cooker. From smash burgers to breakfast, to Asian Stir Fry. The possibilities are limitless. I have an infrared thermometer and the temp is always within 10 degrees of what the dial is set at. I have had no problems with the griddle plate rusting or warping. Now, I am working on upgrading to the 36" so I can start a YouTube channel for griddle cooking.

Terrible product!

Rusted. Poor performance. Users don’t like to use it! I wish I had never purchased this item!

Harold, I'm sorry to hear you have rust, but this can be fixed! If you have any other issues, our customer service team is happy to assist you. Just email them at customerservice@lococookers.com

For rust, you'll need to clean the rust and then re-season.

• Use normal household baking soda and water to make a paste. (¾ cup baking soda to ¼ cup warm water)

• Using a soft cloth, rub the paste on the area and let sit for about ten minutes.

• Ball up a piece of aluminum foil or use a non-metal pad (green pad) to scrub the area and remove the paste.

• Once this is done, clean the surface using a cloth with a water and dish detergent mixture.

• Once cooktop is clean and no discoloration visible, Heat the griddle up to at least 400°

(This is to help dry and evaporate any moisture)

• Let cooktop cool off to warm and then coat the surface with cooking oil. Put oil directly on surface, then using a cloth, carefully spread the oil to coat the entire surface. You want to see a shine but no excess oil.

• Your griddle is ready to use.

Be sure and follow these steps after each use!

• While your cooktop is still warm scrape all oil and particles to the grease evacuation opening.

• Turn your unit back on to about 300°, and while surface is hot, squirt water on surface and allow to “bubble” to loosen any stubborn particles

• Turn unit off and scrape again before too much cooling.

• Carefully wipe surface with a clean cloth to remove any remaining particles. The cooktop may still be hot.**Hint: Wrap cloth around spatula for this step since surface is still hot

• Now let cooktop cool off to warm and then coat the surface with cooking oil. Put oil directly on surface, then using a cloth, carefully spread the oil to a very light layer, coating the entire surface and edges. You want to see a shine but no excess oil.

• Now cover and walk away. You are ready for your next cooking!

Unfortunately, rust on outdoor cooking surfaces can be a challenge. Whether a cooker is stainless steel, cast iron, metal grill grate, or griddle cooktop it requires extra attention to keep it maintained.

Great Griddle for the back yard

We use this in our backyard and it looks reallly nice and works well. We have the smaller tabletop one for camping/travel. Cooks evenly and I like the mid size- not too big and bulk and not too small. Perfect for a family of four. My friend has the digital 36" and it's super nice but a lot bigger, so I like this one for my family due to the smaller size ( I have a small yard) and you don't have to plug it in like the digital ones. I recommend it to my family and friends.
